What should I do this weekend? Rehoboth Beach, DE perhaps?

I want to get away this weekend.  I was in DC last weekend but I wish I hadn't gone.  I had a blast but the weekend set me back with regards to things I have to do at home.

The usual little things that you normally neglect throughout the week like filing bills away, cleaning the kitchen or the bathroom, washing all the sheets and so forth can take a lot of time.  I wanted to do all that last week but since I've been away, I have done nothing.

So, I figured I would do it this weekend.  It's high-time for Spring cleaning.  Then, I got a text message.  "Rehoboth Beach tomorrow?"

Arrrgghhh!!

How was your Memorial Day Weekend? Mine was FINE!!!

Most holidays here are reserved for family.  Memorial holiday is one of them.  Sure, it's a way to salute the veterans who sacrificed their lives for our country but it has now evolved into something totally family-oriented.

I don't mind it.  It's a way to spend time with your loved ones.  But I stopped doing that a long time ago.

Now, Memorial Weekend marks our soft-opening for summer.  We have made it a tradition to go to the beach (most of the time we go to Rehoboth Beach, DE), lay out for a couple of hours, go back to the hotel to take a shower and eat out.  After that, it's one night of dancing and partying.  Then, we wake up early the next day to go to the outlets and do some credit card damage while shopping.

My favorite part of the whole weekend?

Eating crabs at Lazy Susan's Hot Fat Crabs!  Yes!  It's a must-do if you ever go to Rehoboth Beach.  You will love the experience (unless you're allergic to seafood).  I can promise you at least a nice meal, a great way to end the weekend - - and good memories to take home.
